Paul Stewart Media Win Awards in IndieFEST Film Awards

Taunton, Somerset, 6 Feb 2023  – Paul and Vivien Stewart, of Paul Stewart Media, have won two prestigious Award of Merit awards, from the IndieFEST Film Awards. The award was given for the Stewarts’ excellent documentary, More Than a Roll With a Hole – The Stellar Rise of The Bagel, which charts the progress of the Bagel from 13th century Poland to being the world’s fovourite roll. More Than a Roll With a Hole features an exceptional story line, locations round the world, plus great visuals, sound, etc.

Producer Vivien Stewart said “This film was a joy to make, the more we delved into the history of the Bagel, the more twists and turns we discovered.  Who would have thought a simple roll would have such an amazing back story”.

Director, writer and editor Paul Stewart said “I was always told as a photojournalist, to ‘Shoot what you know’, well I’ve known Beigels as we call then in London, since I was a kid and was always curious as to where they originated.  It was a great story to tell and the surprising involvement of religious intolerance in the story was worthy of a Dan Brown plot.  Plus we got to sample Bagels from the best makers in the world, a great project to work on”.
